I had a vision
where I was a flower
holding it all in
each petal wrapped tightly
when the right time came
the flower bloomed
slowly and in sync with spirit
opening to a high
exuding a power so divine
it transcends time
Be kind to your body. The human body is quite a work of mastery. A multitude of microscopic systems behind layers and layers of conscious organics. When you get emotional, that’s the body. When your heart beats in the presence of love, that’s the body. Your body is you and you are a universe.
It is common to live our daily lives without acknowledging our own inner galaxies and cosmic dust which is the core of our being. With our minds always crunching numbers, communicating with others, and fulfilling our desires there is little to no time for the body to be heard.
To find peace, one must find Zen. Meditate into a gentle mind. Be present and at one with Time. Be kind to your body, for there is infinite wonder within.
It is funny that Man has trouble relating to animals and to nature, yet wants to create a relationship with robots. Man wants to become the Hero, yearns to become the Maker.
Nowadays, Man has gotten busy inventing beings who look like us, talk like us, and walk like us, but don’t know anything about us. They know the internet. They know patterns. But they do not know Earth. Robots are cool and I’m all for it, but I believe we ought to have an open discussion about what it is we are really doing — really.
The question that stands is: Will robots be our friends, exist as a free energy, and all around make human life more harmonic? The answer is tricky, so let’s weigh the odds.
A friend is your heart in another person. It is the deep connection to a person who sees you for your whole self and loves that about you. Friends keep you grounded when you lose your head and lift you higher, by knowing how, if you’re feeling down. This is what we call a friend. Are you willing to let a machine hold that same title?
Next, what do I mean by free energy? Free energy stands for a notion that gives one the ability to live in peace using a balanced amount of resources relating to your instincts, lifestyle, and comfortability. It means the chance to relax and have someone else handle it. It means the chance to travel the world, taste every food there is to taste, swim in crystal clear blue waters, and fall in love with a Brazilian. It means a lesser obsession with capitalism, economics, and Wall Street. Robots are today a prototype of free energy – But it’s not the only one. Our options are renewable energy like the sun, the winds, the ocean currents, and particle physics or very strong, not very empathetic, and completely alien robotics.
Lastly, the aspect still in question is: Will we create a more harmonic world in the twentieth century by inventing conscious machines? Let’s look around, shall we? What we find are people who refuse to love their neighbor. We see people who torture and kill animals for greed, gluttony, and wrath. We see trees falling, oceans rising, and wildlife suffering. Maybe robots will help us with the heavy lifting required to rebuild the environment. Maybe we got ourselves into this mess and we have the power to get ourselves out. Either way, we need a hero.
So let’s get our hands dirty! Let’s discover free energy! Let’s harness the natural resources floating and moving all around. Let’s follow our own inner leader and trust ourselves to change the world. Because, well, what else are we going to do?
Hopefully, we as a collective body, can come together to make this world a better and safer place for all life. Maybe DARPA will create a Superman, but most likely we’ll just have to keep stuffing our faces with Marvel movies.
Open your eye. You are your own hero.
My friend and I had the opportunity to volunteer with TreePeople today. TreePeople is a non-profit organization that plants and cares for trees.
If you take part in an activity like this, you can learn all about how best to plant a tree (or any other plant for that matter). Making sure the hole is leveled off so the trunk of the tree lands at the right height. You can also get in touch with your inner child, at one with nature.
TreePeople was started by a passionate seven-teen year old boy in the seventies named Andy Lipkis (who is still whole-heartedly involved in TreePeople today). To me, Andy’s vision is a spectacular reminder to all of us that no dream is too big and that all it takes to change the world is a little bit of passion, purpose, and intention.
Trees need People. People need Trees.
Is it just me, or do poets, artists, and even gardeners inspire you to be a better human? It’s like they have a secret and when they share it with you, suddenly a new color appears on the wild canvas of your life.
The part of you that hears a lovely song and smiles, or watches Titanic and cries, is the Poet inside. Your Poet is always here, watching carefully, taking it all in. Poet sits back and lets you tinker with your tools, however strange it may seem.
Poet is in every person of every kind. And each Poet knows the other like old friends — as if each person’s Poet was a single branch on the Tree of Life. Your Poet is in your core at all times. To find it, you must look within. Fear only fear itself. Find peace of mind.
Meditate into this place. Christians call it the Soul. Buddhist call it the Self. Focus your energy here. Listen and be kind to this place, as if you were walking through a jungle, each leaf a delicate part of the greater whole. As you extend your hand to your Poet, Poet takes a step to you. Soon enough, your life will radiate meaning – full of fractal pattern, ponderable mystery, romantic colors – becoming a symphony.
Make the world a more beautiful place. Become your Poet.
We are particles and molecules,
Motion and commotion.
We are light waves and energy.
Friction and attraction.
I am electricity. I am air. I am fire. I am water.
Teach your heart to be at peace in your universe – in your rocking ocean of consciousness, in your infinite particles of mass, in your vast depths of space.
You are never alone.
You are an Island Universe.
You can’t pick who you are,
You just are who you are.
You look the way you look, like the things you like –
And you love who you love.
You can’t chose who you love.
You don’t like or dislike who you love.
You just fully accept who you love –
For their good side and bad,
For the happy times and sad.
You grow, change, and come to know –
Who you are above all else.
So love who you love who you are,
And chose to be true to yourself.
